July’s guest cocktail was a cracker even though we say so ourselves. We dubbed it Highlander, with one eye trained on International Tequila Day which took place on the 24th.
In light of this, we thought we’d pay our respects to the versatile agave spirit and collaborated with Tapatio Blanco Tequila for the occasion.
The serve featured a hearty base of Tapatio Tequila Blanco, before we added Aperitivo, Pineapple, Lime, and Gusto Syrup, before topping it off with a dash of Tiki bitters to balance it out nicely.
The Camarena family, who distill Tapatio to this day, can trace their tequila heritage all the way back to the early 1800s and they opened their very own distillery, La Atleña, back in 1937.
Barely filtered to preserve mouth feel, texture and viscosity of the estate grown Blue Agave, the Blanco is the most traditional as well as the popular of Tapatio’s growing range of agave spirits – and with good reason.
It stands alone with its pure classic flavor profile of 100% Blue Agave Tequila from the highlands.
