Boann Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey Marsala Cask

A new Irish Whiskey distillery with it’s first whiskey of the stills. Boann is located in Drogheda, Co. Meath.

Every raw ingredient sourced is 100% natural and 100% local. Every drop of water is drawn from their Boyne Valley well. Every grain of barley is provided by our native farmers. The single pot still is comprised of a mixed mash bill distillate which included malted barley, unmalted barley, oats and rye

Initially matured in ex-Bourbon Barrels from the famed Brown Forman of Kentucky and made from American Oak 200ltr (Quercus Alba) with a heavy charring. Boann then sourced a selection of Superiore and Fine Marsala Butts made from (Quercus Petraea) French oak. These casks filled were then filled with the bourbon matured Single Pot Still.
