Tyrconnell was created by the Watt distillery. The Tyrconnell was their flagship brand, and was named after a racehorse owned by Andrew Alexander Watt. The horse was a chestnut colt that won at 100 to 1 odds in 1876 in the Irish horse race called The National Produce Stakes.
Recreated by John Teeling at the Cooley Distillery. This is an exceptional Irish Single Malt.
Aged first in bourbon cask for 9 years before at least 3 months in Port Cask and then again in bourbon before release.
