After selling Cooley distillery, the Teeling brothers decided to bring whiskey back to Dublin City. In 2015, using sourced whiskey they released 3 styles and got moving on retuning to Dublin. They turned their stills on soon after and were the first to produce a Dublin Pot Still in over 40 years.
Andy Kerr and Tommy Cummins first met Stephen Teeling in 2015 just after Teeling’s was founded. Discount Suit Company was one of the first bars in the UK to stock Teeling, serving as an inspiration for the initial concept of The Sun Tavern.
The flagship expression from Dublin’s Teeling, the Small Batch Irish whiskey is made with a blend of malt and grain whiskeys, initially aged in ex-Bourbon barrels. Following that, the Teeling folks moved the whiskey over to casks that had previously held Central American rum!
