Redbreast 21 Year Old
Redbreast was released in 1903 by Gilbeys with liquid sourced from the Old Jameson Distillery on Bow Street. Originally called “J.J. Liqueur Whiskey 12 Year Old”, “Redbreast” was a nickname given to one of the whiskeys by Gilbey’s chairman at the time, who was an avid birdwatcher, in reference to the Robin Redbreast. Now distilled in Middleton Co Cork, The Redbreast range was the leader in the renaissance of Irish Pot Still Whiskey
One of the Greatest Whiskeys to ever be released, not just in Ireland but the whole world. Produced in very limited quantities, Redbreast 21 represents the ultimate expression of Redbreast Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. The 21 year ageing process introduces new levels of depth and an abundantly aromatic and fruitful flavour.
