Ramos Pinto have been in the port business since 1880. The founder was known for his avant-garde marketing method, he was also a pioneer in the study of Portagees grape varieties and viticulture in the Douro region. The RP20 is a blend of grapes averaging 20 years old from some of the oldest vines in the Douro region. First off the bat you get apricots, walnut and dark cacao followed by winter spice and oaky caramel. Exquisit on it’s own, a little chilled before dinner or room temp after, it’s a winner.
