Redbreast PX Edition Iberian Series
Redbreast was released in 1903 by Gilbeys with liquid sourced from the old Jameson Distillery on Bow Street. Originally called ‘J.J. Liqueur Whiskey 12 Year Old’, Redbreast was a nickname given to one of the whiskeys by Gilbey’s chairman at the time, who was an avid birdwatcher, in reference unsurprisingly to the Robin Redbreast. Now distilled in Middleton Co Cork, The Redbreast range was the leader in the renaissance of Irish Pots Still Whiskey. A limited-edition single pot still, Redbreast PX Edition Iberian Series, has been initially matured in bourbon casks and oloroso sherry casks, before being finished in Pedro Ximenez hogsheads from the south of Spain.
