D’Oliveira was founded in 1850, the company actually uses five different producers on the island. The oldest of which dates back to 1820, D’Oliveira have some of the oldest and most sort after madeiras in their cellars in Funchal. The cellars themselves date back to 1619. Still overseen with the experience and knowledge of fifth generation D’Oliveiras, Aníbal and Luis. Madeira takes its complexity from the unique process of naturally heating the wine for several months before cooling and ageing.
