Contratto Vermouth Rosso
The Original recipe for Contratto Vermouth dates back to the 1890’s, when herbs and spices were added to oxidized wine to mask the ‘off’ flavours. Sadly Vermouth fell out of favour with people and they stopped the production in the 1960’s. Lucky for use the cocktail craze of modern times has made vermouth fashionable again and Contratto has returned to the world.
This is a classic Rosso from the area, acclaimed for having a very secret recipe that requires over 30 botanicals, they have been nice enough to release 16 of them but the rest will stay with them.
